Just over five years ago, it became crystal clear to me that I was not happy with the state of my health and I was tired of being tired. With a sedentary job, constant weight gain and hitting the big 40, I made up my mind that I wanted to change my life for the better and exercise would be the key ingredient. There were a number of options from biking, to lifting weights to signing up for specialized fitness training but I wanted to keep it simple and make sure I would not only stick to the regimen, I would make it a lifestyle. A friend suggested using a digital, running trainer that gradually increased distance but also logged and managed my runs. The rest is history and I have been running ever since! From lone runs, to group runs, to races and coaching, running is my life and my only regret is not starting sooner. I am healthier now than I have been in more than 20 years.
