I am NOT a runner nor did I set out to be one. In 2012 due to wanting a healthier lifestyle, I joined First Flight’s Midnight Flight training camp. Yes, it was hard, harder than expected – I was sore, my legs hurt, it was hot and hard to breathe – but after a while I started to like it. I liked the challenge, the accomplishment of finishing a run, the people I met, and I noticed I was getting stronger. I actually felt better and had more energy. However, the encouragement from the First Flight coaches and volunteers was what kept me going and pushing harder for the goal of running my first 5K.
Since that first race in 2012, a lot has changed. I am thrilled beyond belief that I AM now a runner, a running coach, a First Flight board member.
First Flight, Thank you so much for your generous donation that allows my girls to attend gymnastics. They girls learn so much and are very eager and excited to attend class weekly. We greatly appreciate your kind and generous hearts and pray that God blesses you equally in return.
Thank you for giving my family the opportunity to engage in swimming lessons that will make all the difference in his development and social skills. God Bless.
Thank you so much First Flight for the scholarship for my girl. She takes gymnastic class and she loves her classes. Thank you for this great opportunity!
